The hands behind every job
Alec Schwindt has been building things since he was young, and he has never gotten it out of his system. He is a Kansas native, married to Ana, and together they are raising their baby right here in Augusta. Alec and Ana have also opened their home to foster children, and they serve in their local church community.
He came up through tile, which is a useful trade to come up through. Tile is the finish that shows every mistake made underneath it, so it teaches you to care about the substrate, the layout and the waterproofing long before anybody sees the pretty part. From there the work grew into full bathrooms, kitchens, basements, trim and built-ins, decks and exteriors, and now into building houses from the footings up.
How we work
Alec is on your job, not managing it from a truck
He is on site every day the job is running. He does not start a project, disappear onto another one, and leave you guessing where everybody went.
The number is in writing before anything starts
A written estimate spells out the scope and what is included. If something genuinely turns up behind a wall, you hear about it and what it costs before it gets fixed, not on the final invoice.
The work is built for the decade, not for handover day
Waterproofing, flashing, framing and footings are where corners get cut, because nobody sees them and nothing fails for years. Those are the parts Alec will not rush.
