No job is too small to call about. There is a $150 minimum on small work, which covers the trip and the time to do it properly.
Where kitchen remodels actually go wrong
The layout is usually the real problem, not the cabinets. People call about new countertops when what is actually bothering them is that two people cannot stand in the kitchen at the same time, or that the cook has their back to everybody in the room.
Alec will tell you honestly whether your kitchen needs a refresh or a rework, and whether the wall you want gone is holding the roof up. Knowing that before you start is what keeps a kitchen job from doubling halfway through.
One person answering for the whole room
A kitchen touches more trades than any other room in a house: cabinets, counters, plumbing, electrical, tile, flooring, trim and paint. When those are all separate contractors, the schedule slips every time one of them is late, and nobody owns the finished result.
Alec runs the job himself and coordinates the trades he brings in, so there is one number to call and one person accountable for how it turns out.
Living in it while it is being built
Most people cannot move out for a kitchen remodel, and Alec plans around that. That means dust control, keeping a working sink or a temporary setup as long as possible, and cleaning up the site at the end of the day rather than at the end of the job.
